Embarrassingly I’ve never been to Larache. Embarrassing? Because that is where my step mother was born.

Possibly because my parents got together when I was a teenager (and grown ups are so annoying and boring at that age), I missed out a lot of stuff I could have learnt about Islam and Morocco when I was younger. I can however swear like a sailor, and I’ve been to Mosque, though I have only fasted a total of one day for Ramadan. And that was in winter.

I was delighted to meet Fatiha whos family is from the same place as mine is. Tempting Shaun off his sofa to a place where it is hard to get a beer, is never an easy job but Fatiha did a great job of selling Larache’s positives.

He did however flee the studio the moment we were done so we only took some selfies of us without him. These showbiz types, honestly.
