World Book Day Visits

World Book day is now THE BUSIEST time of year for me. Not only am I recording a new series of Your Place Or Mine for BBC Radio 4, but I also get to travel around the country shouting a short people about my books. I got to visit around ten different schools as part of their world book day celebrations and also got to take part in Farnham Literary Festival and Maidenhead’s Big Read!

I love doing school visits where I run Historical Fiction Workshops. Classes work together to come up with an idea for a story and then they work individually or in smaller groups on a key scene to explore. Equally I am happy to show off doing a 45 min talk where I teach the children about the REAL violent, revolting and crazy history behind my books.
